18psi and 9.75:1 compression, is this a pump gas car? I would keep the total to no more than 16 degrees @WOT with ATLEAST 93 octane. what kinda trap speeds are you seeing with that 12.39????? be careful running that much timing advance with a BTM, they are known to fail and not enough timing and sometimes dont pull ANY timing.

20 mph trap difference with no changes????????? something isnt right here, have you checked the mechanical condition of the motor real well? something is way off here, do a leak down and a compression test, check all the blower connections and vacuum lines.
