Rebuilding a C4

Is there any special tools needed to rebuid a C4? Anything I need to know? I have a friends 66 that needs rebuilding and I was wondering if I can do it myself without special tools. Oh and I am no rookie either! 8)

I'm 100% sure you need some "special" tools to rebuild damn near any transmission. Best bet is to get a manual and see exactly what special tools are required...Rookie or not, I wouldn't even consider taking an automatic transmission apart without some sort of book or manual anyway...

I hear what you are saying but sometimes the manuals make it look harder than it actual is. I have done Turbo 350's before and they are a walk in the park. I have looked for some online manuals and came up dry. All I'am looking for is someone on here who reebuilds them who can give me some insight on whats going on.
