I guess the answer really depends on what your looking for, on the edge, conservative, etc.

with my stock block S trim setup I ran with race fuel 19psi/27° total.

with the last setup with YS @ 24psi and X trim, cooler and 29psi, Murrillo had us up around 24°, I had it tuned around 21-22, but after Mike taught me the proper way to read the plugs for timing, it was evident that I had it to low and there was alot of power left on the table.

Good info guys..keep them coming...

Spence, on a track car that's basically always WOT what do you think of just using the WOT table and plugging in the timing and fuel you want instead of using the boost table and having to play with calculations?

theres nothing wrong with that at all, the only thing is you sacrifice bottom end torque mainly, but your top end should pull basically the same MPH, ET might be off from what you saw before, but this all goes back to how you have it tuned before(talking about your combo). I prefer to use alot of low end timing from 2000-4000 to make the converter flash harder and hit the tires harder, the faster you can get the car to 1/8th mile the faster the ET will be. Everybody tunes differently, you do what works best for you. plugging in the total timing is basically like pulling the spout and setting the total on the balancer, you just dont have the low end grunt at part throttle unless you change the low and medium load tables.

you can just put the WOT tables at 0 and this basically gives you 25° when you go into stand alone, then add or subtract timing under boost tables, its all the same, just different ways you do it. just make sure you do not put the total you want in the WOT tables, cause thats going to be added to the 25° at WOT in stand alone..............BOOOM!!!!

26@6000 with 15lbs of boost. 93 pump and methanol injection. I have been tuning my stuff since I got a head start from Spence. It has been a few years but he took me from the 11's to the ten's over the phone.

Since then I have been playing and getting it to run hard. I have destroyed three production blocks so now I have a A4 block. Turned into a 356 monster. trying to get to the nines on pump and meth...........

Oh.......... I the new-b..............

22^ at 6000 with 13.5lbs boost and a 11.5:1 af ratio. This was with the crappy autologic chip that was pulling out to a total of 24^ all thru the midrange.
