Just trying to see what is typical for my combo..
-PI 3500 converter
-3.55's
-26" tire
-3100 lbs
-Eibach lowering springs :D
-Lakewood 90/10's
I just leave of of idle, no braking or anything. I have heard both ways, but i dunno...
i usually cut 1.72's and im not sure if thats right.
I guess my stock axles are still alive though.
Any help appreciated....

i have...
3500 stall non lockup converter
3.73s
eibach drag launch kit
steeda upper and lower control arms
lakewood shocks and struts
with this set-up and a 3200 lb race weight ive gotten a 1.67 60ft as my best on Nitto Drag Radials. Your car makes alot more power then mine and should be in the 1.5s. Try stalling your car to about 1500rpm and then launching cause thats what works best for me.

Thanks Andrew..
i forgot to mention i have 3.55's...and i know thats not helping...But with 26" tires, i run through the traps @ 6000rpm..and its a stock shortblock so thats about all i like to rev it too....
With my standard tune, wich is 12 degrees timing @ the distributor, it cuts 1.72's...I have set the over all timing to like 38 degrees with the spout out, and just pulled timing with my btm, and have cut a 1.66 before..but that is the only way i can get it to leave decently....
Anyone else???

Those lowering springs are really hurting you imo . You should be able to get it in the 1.6's wiht them tho i would think. Which tire are you talking about tho the drag radials or a et drag?

I agree with Mike...you should easily be able to cut consistent 1.6's and with the right suspension work you should be cutting 1.5's or even 1.4's.

don't feel bad, I have the same problems.
- 3500 stall
- 3045 weight of the car with me
- Eibach drag springs with air bag
- Lakewood 90/10's
- upper and lower adjustable control arms
- anti-roll bar
- traction bars
- 3.73 gears
- battery relocated in truck
- 5 gal fuel cell
- 28x10.5 M/T drags
best 60ft ever 1.62 off the transbrake and 1.64 foot braken best time was 6.97@ 99mph
then intake change, bigger injectors, and PMS
best 60ft 1.67, leaving at idle, best time 6.79@106, never did foot brake it or leave off the transbrake. I figured my main problem is, I have to tight of a converter.
Hey Brandon, what type of anti-rollbar are you speakin of? Beacuse if you have a weld in type, the air bag could be causing launch issues. I was told by a reputable source to ditch the airbag when I got my TRZ anti-rollbar installed.
Do you have any vids of the launches?
............and FASTAOD , those springs are definetly hurtin' your 60's.

first off you should not be running Eibach rear springs with an anti roll bar, and the air bag is also a big no no. You need to run the same rate springs on both sides with no bag(Eibachs are 2 different rates from right to left) if you run an anti roll bar, if not the suspension is fighting itself, this will cause erratic 60fts, and also cause the car to be unstable on the big end of the track.

I run the eibach springs and I never knew that. Thanks for the info cause ive been thinking about getting a anti-roll bar

Here's everything I just put in my rear (with some strange adjustable shocks). The rear springs are stock GT springs which is what I was told to run with the anti-rollbar. Spence also scaled the car and set up the geometry. I will let you know how it 60's with this combo after this weekend :) The old combo went a best of 1.48 but usually went in the mid 1.5's.

Y'all are all doing good in my book lol.......my best is a 2.139....i have a stock converter and 2.73 gears.......i want to be turning 1.9's by the end of the summer.......DR's, suspension work, 3.55's, headers, and a tune should take care of that easily.

sorry no videos. I bought the car as a race ready roller. So it came like this. We just put our motor in it. I'm not for sure on the type of anti roll bar. But it isn't a weld in.
And RadialX I think they are the Eibach drag springs. But not really for sure. I never really pay attention to the air bag, I always forget about it at the track. Butthe car launchs straights, and pretty much drives straight.

Thanks for the info guys...
last time out at the track we set base timing to 38* and set the BTM on 1 1/2....wich with 15psi would pull 22 1/2* of timing on the bigg end, but it sure did get out of the whole a bit better....went 1.66...and in 4000ft air i went 11.07......??? that is about .08 slowewr than my best pass wich was FFW and the air was 800ft....!
Seems like its a timing issue. When i crank the timing it stalls around 3000 it seems, but if i leave the timing on like 12* base, it cuts 1.79's all day???
Comments?

geez, throw some timing at that thing, your only getting a total timing of 15.5 degrees. if your on pump gas you should be able to run 20 or so safely.

Thanks Spence....
I realized 1 thing though, i use the MSD BTM with adjustable boost start point, from 1-5. i have it set on 5, so it doesnt start pulling timing out until 5psi, then i read the directions, and it seems it starts pulling 1 degree at 5. as if 5 is really 0? Is that right? So if it was set to 1 it would really be pulling 10* of timing total w/ 15psi of pressure???/

I dont have anything trick as far a susp. goes. I set it up myself and my car went 1.32 60ft on drag radials leaving at 3,000rpm. I guess thats good looking at what you guys are running.
